Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts — every day women are dying of heart disease at the rate of almost one per minute. Show your support for the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red on February 5. Consider organizing a Wear Red Day at your workplace, with your faith-based organization, at your community center or even in your own home. The campaign, sponsored by the American Heart Association, is intended to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease in women and to help reduce disability and death through research and education. It’s an easy, powerful way to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
On Friday, February 5, 2010 all SYMS co-workers are encouraged to “Wear Red” to show their support. This will be our 6th year supporting this worthwhile effort. This year we invite our Educated Consumers to join us to help eliminate this silent killer. Please visit Go Red for Women to learn more about this campaign. Furthermore, check out Go Red For Women’s Statistics to find out more about the dangers women face from cardiovascular disease.
We’d love to hear what you think of this campaign and whether you wore red on February; so please tell us about it.
